How To Print At UBCO

Adding credits to PayforPrint *

  1. Go to student  Pay For Print portal:  https://payforprint.ok.ubc.ca/   On a personal device: connect to UBCsecure
  2. Authenticate using your CWL username and password with the format cwl. stu and your CWL password.
  3. Select Student Deposit from the menu on the left side.
  4. It will redirect you to Student Housing Webpage . Under Convenience Plan , click on Add Dollars .
  5. It will take you to the payment portal to pay with credit card or some debit cards. Follow their directions.
  6. Cash and debit can be used at the Sunshine Café , but it may take up to 30 minutes for these funds to be available.

Option 1: How to use Print from Student/Lab Workstations *

  1. From a UBCO Student/Lab Workstation, click Print in your application (eg: Word, Excel, etc).
  2. For Black & White select: w200\Student-FindMe-BW and for Colour select: w200\Student-FindMe-Colour .
  3. Printers are cloud-based. Go to any campus student -BW or -colour printer and swipe your UBCcard .
  4. Click on Print Release and select the documents you want, and click print . *  

* We strongly recommend not printing large documents using this method. Create/save as a PDF first and then print to maintain desired formatting, or try following Option 3


 Option 2: How to Print from Your Own Device Using Web Print *

  1. Connect to UBCsecure wireless network.
  2. Navigate to the student  Pay For Print portal: https://payforprint.ok.ubc.ca/
  3. Authenticate using your CWL username and password with the format cwl. stu and your CWL password.
  4. Select Web Print from the menu on the left side.
  5. Click submit a job button.
  6. For B&W select: w200\Student-FindMe-BW and for Colour select: w200\Student-FindMe-Colour . Click next.
  7. Select the number of copies desired, click next. ** This is the extent of printer settings accessible in this mode.
  8. Upload the document you wish to print.
  9. Clicking on the Held in queue link beside your job is NOT unnecessary. This immediately releases your job at whatever printer you select from the next page. Note: printers listed on this link are from across campus.
  10. The print job will be held until you release the print job (for a maximum of 4 hours).
  11. To release the print job: swipe your UBCcard at any of the student Ricoh devices. Click on Print Release and select the documents you want, and click print .

We strongly recommend not printing large documents using this method. Create/save as a PDF first and then print to maintain desired formatting, or try following Option 3


 Option 3: How to Print Documents from USB devices

  1. Login to the Ricoh multi-function student printer by swiping your UBCcard.
  2. Select / touch Device functions.
  3. Select Print/Scan (memory storage device).
  4. Select Print from Storage Device.
  5. Insert your USB device.
  6. Select your memory storage device, and the file to print from the list or folder. Select Preview to see the document before printing.
  7. Press Print Settings to adjust the print job (quantity, paper size, resolution, etc.).
  8. Press Start in the green circle to begin printing. After the job has finished printing, eject the memory device (USB drive) by pressing the Eject icon at the bottom left screen.
