Updated 2024 VMware Licensing Information
Updated - VMware Workstation Pro and VMware Fusion are now free for personal/individual use
Updated 2024 VMware/Broadcom Information on Workstation Pro/Fusion Applications
VMware Workstation Pro and Fusion Pro are now free for personal use, which includes academic/teaching/research/instructional lab use. UBCO IT Services no longer needs to generate lab license keys or personal-use keys with the latest release of Workstation Pro 17 and Fusion Pro 13.
Our current license distribution method/provider, D2L, will no longer be providing Workstation and Fusion licenses starting August 31st 2024. Since we were primarily using D2L Brightspace for access to Workstation and Fusion license keys, we will no longer require use of the D2L Brightspace platform.
