Check with the developer to make sure Microsoft <application_name> works with this version of Mac OS X. You may need to reinstall the application. Be sure to install any available updates for the application and Mac OS X.

The detailed solution can be found in Microsoft article http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2431353

In brief this issue occurs if the executable for the program in question has been moved or duplicated. Find the appropriate folder for the application and confirm that it is there, moving or deleting the launch icon as necessary. Create a new Dock icon if needed.
